"She just loves to be interesting with us."

That quote was just something one of her nurses said this week, and it made me chuckle.

This week, she finished up her IV meds & nutrition, and is back to both medications and feeds through her ND tube! They're still slowly increasing feeds back to their normal amount, while keeping an eye on her numbers & belly circumference to make sure the infection isn't coming back. Everything is still going through the ND tube as the G-tube cite continues to heal - they are still *lovingly* referring to it as "the crater"....so, that's fun for you to mentally picture:)

The posse of pulmonary Doctors cam by on Tuesday and lowered some of her ventilator support because she was over-oxygenating. It was nice to have a good problem for a change, and she's been doing very well since!

Wednesday afternoon, we moved back over to 2B!! Everyone's happy to see her back, and have commented on how much she's grown in the 2.5 weeks in the CICU. She's currently busting out of her 6 month outfits, and fitting into 9-12 month clothes. I love babies. I love that they do whatever they're going to do, and don't care about what they are "supposed" to be doing. Yes, Sunny's done much of this already & most of it hasn't been necessarily preferred. But she continues to thrive within her circumstance.
Ever since her diagnosis, I've released her from the timeline and onslaught of expectations that comes with babies, growth and milestones. Sometimes I do wish there was a way to know more of what to expect and sometimes I get paranoid about her neck strength being so far behind, but it's also so freeing to just let her be her. While we're working with all the developmental therapists to help her get stronger in areas that are harder for her to grow, she's already exceeding expectations. She's gonna wear whatever size she wants, hold her head up however long she wants, smile whenever she wants, and it's perfectly miraculous.

Prayer requests:
- Sunny's belly to continue healing, and for her increase of feeds back to their normal rate would go smoothly.
- Continuing health for her and ourselves.
- & for our prospective in-home care nursing

We are immensely appreciative of the space you hold for us in your thoughts and prayers.

Love,
Chris, Alyssa & Sunny
