T-Minus 11 Days
Sunny spent some quality time with her grandparents and Aunt Jadyn this weekend! Majo & Jadyn came on Thursday to complete their final required trach change(!!!!!!), and then babysit while Sunny's parents went to a work picnic and then home to get some projects done.
She had a good weekend with lots of snuggles and naps, and was much more herself on Sunday & Monday.
Tuesday and Wednesday turned out to be her weekly puke/retch days, which is always hard to see her uncomfortable. She spent a lot of Tuesday night and Wednesday morning trying to fall asleep, but was kept awake by the discomfort. Thankfully, the med we gave Wednesday morning seemed to help and she slept the day away.
After that day, she was much less retchy, and has been mostly herself! We woke her up for Tiny-Tots on Thursday, and she handled that better than I would have if someone woke me up from a nap for a social gathering. She's just the best.

They're been increasing feeds by 1mL every 12 hours, so we should be without IV nutrition later tomorrow!
This weekend, we'll be doing our Supervised Family Care (SFC) - 24 hours of just Chris and I giving Sunny all her meds, nebulizers, feeds, trach cares etc. I feel we're capable, but I'm also nervous:/
THEN on Monday, we have our Simulation Lab where we'll be given some emergency trach scenarios. I'm even more nervous about that. I think we're equal parts nervous and excited about being so close to home. The team here has been IMMENSELY helpful with getting it all together, including planning ahead by working to coordinate follow-up appointments to be as convenient as possible.

Prayer Requests:
- Sunny's parents with all out testing this weekend, and just getting used to caring completely for Sunny.
- Sunny to continue to tolerate her feeds/ gut health, and health in general as we near home.

Thank you friends,
Chris, Alyssa & Sunny

I sent this picture to OT Jackie because Sunny's little arm around her was so precious. She said she was going to print it out for her desk<3

Last weekend, nurse Amy accidently spilled some of the rubber band hair ties. She felt bad so she replaced them and then bought more hair accessories for Sunny, and then got this rainbow to organize the bows! She's the sweetest. My GOODNESS we're going to miss these people.

Sunny always enjoys just sitting in her stroller. We're so excited to be able to take her for longer walks than the 30minutes allotted with her crew of escorts.
