More Firsts & Fall things!

 

Sunny had a good week! 

Sunday, we took her to church for the first time on the outside. While it felt rather hectic gathering all her gear, finding parking, and coordinating the elevator ride, it also just felt so good. Sunny was a champ and did so well for most of it, and then eventually joined the other parents soothing babies in the hallway. We then introduced Sun to the after church tradition of walking with friends to a local cafe for an after church latte. Sunny is so content when on a walk, especially with this perfect fall weather. She just watched the trees and sky, and would have fallen asleep if it weren't for the occasional wonky sidewalk bump, or loud passing cars. 

 It was a good walk, and it just felt so wonderful to finally take her to church after all this time and prayer. 

We went to her first outpatient cardiologist appointment. Like the pro that she is, she fell asleep during the echo:) but then kept trying to fall asleep after that, but we kept interrupting her with weight, length, EKG, vitals & history. She would get close to snoozing, and then we'd move her for something else. She was getting very frustrated, understandably so, and communicated her angst. After filling her pants, ruining her outfit, and wiggling her way into the crack of the exam table, she zonked out. Her Dr said everything looked good, and we'll just keep letting Sunny tell us when we need to make moves on heart things. She said Sunny looked great, & noted that she was alert and looking around at things and people. 

It was cool being in the same exact room for that appointment that we were for her prenatal echo. The room that we took the Zoom meeting some of the Nemours team after the cardiologist suggested we deliver there(one week before Sunny was born🙃). 

Not only is it just nice to be home and be home with Sunny, but it's also just so amazing to experience these full circle, everyday moments. Church, even the Doctors appointment - these normal things that we believed we'd never get to do with this munchkin.

Prayer requests

- nursing coverage with people we feel can fully trust and are able to rest with Sunny in their care. 

- continued health for Sunny
