Happy Spring!
Sunny's been easy on us so far this spring. We're just over two weeks out from her last round of antibiotics, and she's just been really great. Tolerating us toting her all over some days, keeping an amazing heart rate & blood oxygen saturation level, AND - she just popped her third tooth!
Sunny is still doing very well off her vent - She is on it overnight, but then she's off for most of the day! We take her off after her 9am nebulizer medication, pop her on quickly for her 3pm nebulizer but then off again right after, and then we put her back on for her 9pm nebulizer and she stays on while she's snoozing.
She is also still growing too well:) haha
At her last cardiologist appointment a few weeks ago, her Doctor said we could bump the feeds back from 20 hours a day to 18 hours a day. She also had mentioned making the break from feeds during the night so that her heart gets a break when she's resting. Previously, we had her break in the afternoon so that she was free from both that tube AND her vent tube. So, we're trying the nighttime break in hopes of giving her heart a nice & restful break while she sleeps. There is still some flexibility with that - for instance, we'll leave her on all night Saturday night & take the break Sunday morning so that when we're at church, we can have one less thing to mess with.
On Tuesday, Sunny's physical therapist brought a friend to come measure our bathtub and make sure a bath chair for Sunny would fit. Right now, she has one that we got off of amazon, and it has been working, but she's on the verge of being too big for it. So, hopefully when the chair comes, it'll be supportive & comfortable enough for her to really enjoy her baths again. At the end of her very FIRST bath, she was falling asleep at the end - it was so cute.
Next week, we only have follow-up appointments for Urology and Nephrology, but other than it's pretty quiet. We're hoping the weather will allow us to take Sunny on some more walks soon, Sunny girl loves being outside, and looking up at the sky & trees.
Prayer requests:
- Continued health from UTIs
- For her helmet to do whatever it's supposed to do
- For weekend night nursing
Thank youuuuuu!!! We love Sunny so stinkin much, and we love how much love for her there is out there. We appreciate you.
Love,
Chris, Alyssa & Sunny
